Hobbies - English Essays

Hobbies,unlike habbits,are the essentail components of man's external nature .Hobbies give us pleasure. Habit is something we do unconsciously but hobbies are to be pursued with conciousness.

One tlikes to purse hobbies after one is bored with one's usual daily routine.Hobbies relax us.They relieve us from the mental tiredness and worries .There are many different types of hobbies : stamp collecting ,

photgraphy,music,etc. are some of them . A hobby is generally selected according to one's choice and liking .It must be pleasing to oneself.

I also purpose a hobby.My hobby is apinting.When i hae some spare time i sit dowm for painting . i like water painting and i am very much interested in it .A friend from nepalgunj got me interested in it.My friend was a good painter .Although i didn't know painting in the begining, i began to learn after a long practise now i am quite a good painter .Apart from paper ,my painting widens to wall painting and also to fabric painting.

My hobbies ,however have not become passions ,when a hobby becomes passion ,it disturbs our duties.We begin to neglect our responsibilities. it brings down our prestige in the society. therefore, one should pursue one's hobbies only to calm down the tiredness caused by regular routine work.
