Undergratuate Application Essays

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a kindergarten teacher. As a child, I spent many days playing school with my friends. My role always seemed to fall under the title of the teacher.

Thank you for considering me for a candidate for the scholarship. I am writing you this essay to describe my ideal school. Next to Futures University, this is the kind of school that I would enjoy attending.

To my dismay now, and to my fortune as a child, I have not lived in ten different countries. I have lived in various cities among three different primary countries – United States, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan.

As a child, I had no worries in life. Never had to worry about school because it was easy; never had to worry about teachers because they were all nice; never had to worry about money because my parents had all the money; never had to worry about college applications or scholarships because it wasn’t time to.

How does the University of Chicago, as you know it now, satisfy your desire for a particular kind of learning, community, and future? Please address with some particularity your own wishes and how they relate to Chicago.

Every individual has a significant setback, a relapse, at some point of their lifetime that can create a certain change in them. It can be looked upon as a challenge or an opportunity for them, which could totally reshape their lifestyle and their beliefs.

People in general tend to emphasize that one should live life to the fullest. This is something I strongly believe in, for everyday should be taken as a gift.

These are my thoughts. They are my own. No thoughts are the same and no one will have the same ones, just because each person might phrase his or her thoughts differently. It has been a week; two weeks and my friends are getting worried about me.

What word would best describe me? I would say "unpredictable"! I am a person who doesn't live life on the safe side. I like to take risks and I am not put off by any obstacles. I am at my best when pushed to the edge.

Professional, leader, determined, focused. These and much more are all qualities that any woman of vision should have. Any person who knows me will agree that I have all these qualities.
