Recently, I have been studying a play written by Terence Rattigan, titled “The Winslow Boy”. It is based on a true story during the depression building up to World War 1.

The first primary motive Hamlet has to seek revenge is to avenge his father’s death. Hamlet is determined that Hamlet is the murderer. It disgusts him to see the murderer of his father become a successful ruler.

Salome appears to be pure and innocent. Is this truly her character? Or is she taking advantage of what people believe her to be. Her beauty causes incidents of sexual perversity.

The play my essay is based on is called “Educating Rita.” It was written in 1985 by Willy Russell. The play only has two main characters: Rita and Frank. Rita is the student and Frank is the teacher.

In the plays Antigone and Oedipus the King written by Sophocles, there is a central theme throughout both of the plays, and that is the destruction of the family leads to the destruction of the society.

William Shakespeare’s great tragedy, Macbeth, is regarded by most as a play in which bad is present throughout much of the play, but where good ultimately triumphs over evil, the main source of this evil being the character Macbeth.
