1.0 Introduction
The main objectives of this report are as follows:
To ensure that district nurses acknowledge depression in the elderly as an increasing problem within the community setting.

The observation that I made was on Tuesday, July 12th 2005. The location was Manhattan’s Lower East Side at a “night club” called Pyramid. It was open mic night and the time was approximately 11:30-12:30 p.m.

In order to answer this question it is important to understand the definitions of both psychology and science. The word 'psychology' comes from the Greek 'psyche' (or soul) and 'logos' (or study), which came to be known as the 'study of the soul'.

Ed, a single 32 year old white male, sought therapy on his own accord. Depression and thoughts of suicide drove him to get some form of help.
