Eragon Book Report - Book Reviews

I thought the book was really great! I loved all the action and adventure. I wished the book would never end. My favorite part was the end battle under a huge mountain called Farthen dur.
I knew it was going to be good but not as good as it really was. It grabbed my attention the moment I started to read it.
The main character was Eragon. He is a Dragon Rider who is trying to stop the Empire. His dragon’s name is Saphira; she is female dragon with sapphire scales. Eragon was in training with a man named Brom. He is an old

Dragon Rider who killed one of the King’s “Henchman”. He died a tragic death by saving Eragon’s life and getting stabbed by a knife. Another man they met named Murtagh helped escape some warriors of the King. He is the son of the “Henchman” Brom killed. He helped Eragon get to some
allies.
But the King, Galbatorix, wants Saphira egg so when she hatched he could have her for his own. But the elves had the egg and where also trying to hatch it. So when an elf was carrying it to Ellemera, the elf hideout, she was stopped by an evil creature working for King Galbatorix. She tried to teleport it to Brom but she missed and it landed in a spine right next to it. So when Eragon was out

hunting he found it and tried to sell it for food but he could not so when it hatched he found out, by Brom telling him, he was a Rider. Now that the King knows who he is so he’s trying to get him on his side but he refused so the King is trying to kill him. So Eragon fled to the Varden, who are allies, but the King still tried to kill him so he sent in his forces to the Beor Mountains because that’s where the Varden is hiding. In the end it looked as if the Varden would lose but Eragon killed their leader and they got confused and started attacking each other. That gave Eragon even more respect than he ever had in his life.
I would leave out the part where Brom dies because he was a good teacher to Eragon and I really liked him. I would also leave out the part when Eragon gets his fortune read to him by Angela, a florist with a pet werecat, a very intelligent cat, named Solombaum and also helps him in the great battle, because then you wouldn’t know anything about what was going to happen.
I really recommend this book to a friend. It has everything a good book needs. It has adventure, action, detail and chases. It also is really great because it has magic and I really like books with magic. The book is not only just suitable for kids but adults will love it too!
Christopher Paolini is a great author he knows just what a good fantasy book needs and he can grab someone’s attention with the first line of his book. He is one of my most favorite writers.
